Folk Tales in Ink and Paper

This hands-on workshop is inspired by the exhibition Echoing Whispers: A Treasury of Vietnamese Folk Tales, installed in The Hive at the Museum.

Jeet will guide participants through the process behind his richly textured paintings, exploring how ink, water, paper, and gesture interact to create unexpected forms and imagery; using the same materials found in his artistic practice including washi paper, Dó paper, and sumi ink.

Drawing inspiration from Vietnamese folklore, symbols, and storytelling traditions, participants will experiment with techniques used in the exhibition while creating their own original works.

Open to artists, designers, complete beginners, and anyone curious about image-making across cultures. No previous experience is needed. Participants may take home their experimental artworks.

All materials provided.

Includes a short break.

If the cost of the ticket is a barrier, please contact bookings@museumofthehome.org.uk. We have made a limited number of free tickets available for this event.
