Miniature Doll-Making Workshop

This beginner-friendly workshop invites you into the gentle, hands-on process of poppet inspired miniature doll making.

You will explore how storytelling, history, and personal expression can be stitched into small, meaningful dolls, drawing on inspiration from dolls held in the Museum of the Home collection and poppets from around the world.

Using simple materials and slow stitching, participants are invited to pause and enjoy experimenting with stitches, materials and textures in a relaxed supportive setting.

By the end of the session, you will have created a unique piece that can be transformed into a brooch or pendant, displayed as a decorative object, or reimagined in your own personal way.

Fabrics, embroidery threads and embellishments will be provided. You are welcome to bring any special materials or small items you would like to incorporate to make your creation even more personal.
